At Rugby Tackling Life Uganda we believe in empowering Ugandan girls and young women, by creating opportunities through rugby, to make informed decisions that impact positively on their lives and enriches their communities.
RTL strives to educate players on issues such as sexual and reproductive health rights
Life Skills Education is a key part of the RTL programme which is geared towards empowering girls
Playing rugby has many benefits – high levels of discipline and learn to work closely together
Together, we can create a more equal world where everyone can live in dignity and free from poverty.
We are a member of the international organisation, Girls Not Brides, while in Uganda we partner with Muvubuka Agunjuse Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Centre (MUAG) to deliver Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) sessions while Kitgum Rugby Football Club (KRFC) is our partner in Kitgum on the “End Child Marriage” project funded by Girls First Fund (GFF); KRFC helps with mobilisation and provides volunteers to run the rugby sessions and tournaments.
